Sony has been submitted by the European Patent Office EyePad wireless controller patent

Beijing early morning of February 20, according to documents released last week by the EPO (European Patent Office), Sony has been made to the council submitted a game tablet EyePad patent, but this product is not for a competitor to Apple iPad but as an entertainment console input control, it may be used for current and future versions of the PlayStation console.

Patent Document Sony describes a wireless controller, and looks like a small tablet PC with a touch-sensitive surface, the motion sensor will be able to detect the movement and position of the controller. In addition, this device may also has two stereo camera. By the two stereoscopic cameras, EyePad will allow the user to interact with the the Sony virtual pet EyePet. Patent documents mentioned in the PlayStation 3, but if this technology is to become a reality, then the Sony likely it is for the upcoming PlayStation 4 consoles.

Sony will tomorrow convene a conference in New York City, is expected to be launched at the conference on the PlayStation 4 and other new games equipment.

Apple might be interested in the Sony device called "EyePad" dissatisfied, but the name matches the traditional use of the term "Eye" Sony products, such as the PlayStation Eye camera and EyePet.
